Welcome to Phonetics and Phonology in Europe 2025 conference!

 

The 6th Phonetics and Phonology in Europe (PaPE 2025) will be held in Palma from 25 to 27 June, 2025.

 

We are pleased to announce that the next PaPE 2025 will take place in the University of the Balearic Islands, Mallorca, Spain. It is the sixth conference of the PaPE series, following conferences in Nijmegen (2023), Barcelona (2021), Lecce (2019), Cologne (2017), and Cambridge (2015). PaPE is the successor of PaPI, a series of biennial Phonetics and Phonology in Iberia conferences which started back in 2003.

PaPE is an interdisciplinary forum for research on all areas of phonetics and phonology, promoting discussion of speech from multiple perspectives such as neurolinguistics, psycholinguistics, experimental phonetics, formal phonology, computational linguistics, and speech technologies.

The theme of PaPE 2025 is 'Phonetics and Phonology in a Multilingual World'. We particularly welcome contributions related to this topic.
